Quick answer
What does a whole house filter do?
A whole house system is fitted at the point where mains water enters the property. The chosen cartridges
filter water before it reaches multiple indoor taps. Cartridge selection should match the household's goals,
flow requirements, water conditions and product specifications; no single cartridge removes every issue.
River City triple-stage system
Our highlighted residential option uses three 20-inch by 4.5-inch Big Blue filter housings. The stages can
be selected for the quoted household rather than presented as a universal treatment. The assembled unit is
approximately 74.5 cm high, 60 cm wide and 22 cm deep and includes pressure gauges, stainless-steel fittings
and a 304 brushed stainless-steel frame and enclosure.
Product suitability, cartridge performance and replacement timing are confirmed in the written quote.
WaterMark-certified and NSF/ANSI Standard 42 compliant choices are available where identified for the
selected system. Certification is product-specific and should be checked against the quoted components.

Whole house or under-sink filtration?
Choose whole house filtration when
You want a point-of-entry option serving multiple taps and you have suitable access near the main water line.
The quote must consider available space, expected flow, pressure, drainage and ongoing cartridge access.
Choose an under-sink filter when
Your main goal is drinking and cooking water at one kitchen location. A compact system can be a simpler
starting point, subject to cabinet space, plumbing access and the selected product.
Frequently asked questions
Who installs the system?
River City Water Filters supplies and coordinates the filtration pathway. Any regulated plumbing work must
be performed by a suitably licensed Queensland plumber.
How often are cartridges replaced?
There is no honest one-size-fits-all interval. It depends on cartridge specifications, water conditions and
household use. We explain the recommended schedule for the installed set and can record future service dates.
Does a whole house filter make unsafe water safe?
This website and quote process are not a water-safety or medical assessment. If contamination is suspected,
arrange appropriate water testing and professional advice before selecting treatment.
Is there a 10-year warranty?
Additional product cover only applies where the written quote, invoice and product-specific warranty schedule
identify the eligible component, responsible warrantor, duration and coverage. Consumer guarantees under
Australian law continue to apply. Read the complete warranty terms.
